Scott leverages his extensive environmental, energy and natural resource experience to advise clients in the national and international public policy arenas on a broad spectrum of high-profile and high-risk issues. He advises clients respecting complex project development, permitting, transactional and ESG matters, as well as government enforcement, disputes, legislative and regulatory policy advocacy. In addition to managing transactional due diligence, Scott has managed negotiation of PSAs and environmental allocation and indemnity agreements related to the acquisition, divestiture and development of numerous clean & renewable energy, petroleum refining, mining, chemical manufacturing, and related terminal and distribution assets across the country and in cross-border contexts. He also has defended numerous government investigations and third-party claims related to issues identified during the due diligence or permit proceedings of such facilities. Scott earned his JD degree from UCLA School of Law in 1994 and is licensed in California and Washington DC.
