Patricia Goedde is a professor of law at Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU). Her teaching and research areas are international human rights, legal mobilization, public interest lawyering, clinical legal education, East Asian comparative law, and North Korean legal studies. She is the co-editor of Rights Claiming in South Korea (Cambridge University Press 2021), has published in various journals, and also supervises the Public Interest and Human Rights Law Clinic at SKKU. Patricia is on the board of directors of the Korea Human Rights Foundation, the board of trustees of the Asian Law and Society Association, a member of the U.S. National Committee on North Korea, and involved with other human rights advisory networks in South Korea. She received a J.D. and Ph.D. in Asian and Comparative Law from the University of Washington, and is a licensed lawyer of the Washington State Bar
