Karin Schmid has a track record of 24 years of experience as a multilingual Contracts Manager for global players in the oil and energy industry. Karin’s activity as a freelancer involved several expatriations in Africa, Central Asia and Europe on behalf of European companies. She looks back at 20 years contracts, claim and tender management on 12 offshore construction projects for oil & gas majors, before turning to the development of a wind farm offshore France. Karin mobilized recently to Seoul to actively contribute to the development of one of the first offshore wind farms in South Korea which is located adjacent to Anma Island, South Jeolla Province, on behalf of Anma Offshore Wind Energy Co., Ltd which was jointly established between Equis Wind Korea Holdings Pte. Ltd. and Korea Wind Energy Co.Karin earned a MA degree as an interpreter of English, Italian and German at the University of Vienna, Austria, after obtaining a diploma at an Austrian vocational institute specialized in business administration. She completed her education with executive training at HEC Paris.
