Hyomin Pak is a distinguished professional at Shin & Kim LLC, where she leads the firm’s international trade, economic sanctions, export controls, cross-border regulation, risk management and ESG practices. Hyomin provides comprehensive legal advice, compliance counseling, and government affairs support. Prior to joining Shin & Kim LLC, Hyomin served as a deputy director in various ministries, including the former Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, and the Presidential Committee on Northern Economic Cooperation, specializing in the areas of international trade, economic sanctions, government investigations, among others.
Hyomin holds an LL.B. degree from Pusan National University, College of Law, and an LL.M degree from Georgetown University Law Center, with a Fulbright Graduate Award from the U.S. Department of State, and is a Ph.D. candidate in law at Seoul National University. Hyomin is admitted to practice law in Korea. Hyomin currently serves as an advisor on economic security and diplomacy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
